Hi,

Sorry for the late response. I was out of country and did not have
enough time to connect to the net.

I believe Roger So would be the best person to answer most accurately
on this, as he is our Debian package owner, but I'll give a try.

You can find the info on IIIMF packages for debian on

http://packages.qa.debian.org/i/im-sdk.html
http://buildd.debian.org/build.php?pkg=im-sdk

To install IIIMF packages on running debian systems,

   1. add "testing" in additon to "main" into /etc/apt/sources.list
   2. Update package database
       # apt-get updatge
   3. get iiimf related package listings
       # apt-cache -n search iiim
(Don't forget "-n" to get accurate listings)
   4. install the packages shown above
       # apt-get install <the packages shown above>

Then, to update /etc/gtk-2.0/gtk.immodules, run
       # /usr/bin/gtk-query-immodules-2.0

You will see IIIMF option in the Input Method list shown by right-click.

To make IIIMF default, set environment variable GTK_IM_MODULE
to iiim somewhere, such as in /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.

Roger, correct me if I'm wrong.

Best Regards,
