Hi,
I have created Assamese inscript and transcript
codetables. (Assamese and Bengali share the same
script.)
I did the follwoing things to test it.
(1) Created a directory called ASSAMESE in
/usr/lib/im/locale/UNIT.
(2) Then created a directory called data under it
(ASSAMESE directory).
(3) Then copied the binary codetables (after using
txt2bin utility) to this data directory.
(4) Then edited the sysime.cfg to contain these
three lines
[ as_IN ]
inscript common/ctim.so ASSAMESE
transcript common/ctim.so ASSAMESE
(5) I had already my as_IN locale installed in my
system (FEDORA CORE 3) with the command localedef -f
UTF-8 -i as_IN /usr/lib/locale/as_IN and it was
working.
(6) I already had the input method switcher added
to the panel.
But unfortunately, I could not find my language in
the add or remove list along with the other already
installed languages e.g. BENGALI.
Please help me out! I have attached the ASSAMESE
directory as it is in my system under
/usr/lib/im/locale/UNIT directory. It would be nice if
you could include it in your 12.2 release.
Thank you.
Regards,
Sunaram Patir
