Unfortunately due a bug of gimlet/iiimgcf you have to restart gimlet in order for it to see newly added or removed LEs. The easiest way to do that is to start a new X session. Worse the list of languages supported by gimlet is currently hardcoded... So I think you'll need to add it to gimlet-lang-data.h by hand and rebuild gimlet to actually see Assamese listed I'm afraid. Moving the language data out of gimlet is one of the things we should do for 12.4... A quicker way to check if the language is there, is to use the hotmenu from a gtk app with Ctrl-Shift-Space. > Please help me out! Unfortunately you just missed the devel freeze on Friday for 12.2. Thank you for the contribution. Jens
