SuperTuxKart translations and help

Hi all,

you are receiving this email because you have previously helped
translating SuperTuxKart into many, many languages! First of all a big
"thank you" for your support in the past!

In order to keep you all a bit better informed we have finally created
an email list for translators. This will be a very(!) low volume email
list, we intend to use it only to announce upcoming releases and string
freezes. If you are interested to help us making SuperTuxKart accessible
in the future, please subscribe to
[email protected] at:
https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/supertuxkart-translations

On a second note you might be aware that we are currently fighting to
become SourceForge's "Project of the Month", see
http://twtpoll.com/ragr0e . But after a good start with >30 votes ahead,
we are now nearly 50 votes behind - and only ~5 days to go. I think that
we are not reaching enough of our non English speaking fans (e.g. 20% of
our downloads are from Brazil, but we have only 3 votes from there). We
have also started an official twitter channel (@supertuxkart), but
obviously won't gain a lot of attention in this short time frame.
Unfortunately voting requires a twitter account.

If you have the time and think that SuperTuxKart should win, could you
perhaps help us by trying to promote SuperTuxKart? E.g. perhaps post in
forums, or tweet yourself or reply to tweets? We have tried to do so,
but are limited in the amount of languages we can write.

Besides the above link to the poll there is the easier-to-remember
vote.supertuxkart.net (which redirects to the above poll). We have also
a promotional video, of a little trilingual STK fan:
http://bit.ly/15jYGKY
This shows the upcoming support of wiimotes in-game (though also asks
for support), so posting this link is (imho) not just spam, but contains
genuine new information.

Again, thanks a lot for all your help in the past, and hopefully more
help in the future. We won't use the email addresses again (but I hope
you accept us using them once), and instead use the new email list instead.

Best regards,
    Joerg

PS: Some web pages from which we get many hits (together with their
languages as detected by google.translate). Those are just the ones I
noticed in the (somewhat buggy) piwik output we see.

Portugese:

Vietnamese:

Though those two pages appear to have the same content(?)
