If you are using Ephpod, you shouldn't have any trouble.  You'll just need
to transfer all of the music files you have on your old machine to the new
one, and set up syncing in a similar fashion.  (I don't using auto syncing,
so I'm hazy on just what you would have to do.)  Ephpod, unlike iTunes,
doesn't try to mark an iPod as "belonging" to any particular computer.

If you are using iTunes, you should copy the entire My Documents\My
Music\iTunes folder from the old machine to the new.  This is where iTunes
keeps the XML file that constitutes your "Library."

I'm in the market for a new computer. and when I get it, I was wondering
whether or not it was possible to transfer the iPod database, have the
iPod recognize the new computer as its home computer, and get everything
to work as it does on my current one.
