I had the same problem one time, I solved it by using EphPod facility to
copy tracks from Ipod back to my PC, that way I also managed to group my
songs by artist. This was also a problem because I had many CD's with a
mixture of artists. e.g. Golden oldies etc. Likewise all duplicates were
gone apart from the ones with the same title but spelled differently. I then
went thru all my directories by artist and checked by eye for these problems
(1300 directories, 11000 songs) It takes a while : )
