Some MP4 AAC files

For anyone interested, I've made available a couple of samples of MPEG4-AAC files I created on Windows. They both play on my iPod (Original 5 gig, reformatted to FAT32, firmware 1.3). http://members.optushome.com.au/hodea/test-faac.mp4 http://members.optushome.com.au/hodea/test-quicktime.mp4 They are 12 second samples, about 200 kB each. The first was created using faac (with -m 4 switch to create MPEG-4 rather than MPEG-2) and mp4creator. The second was created with Quicktime 6.1 for Windows (Pro) using export movie to MPEG-4, and then under options changing "output sample rate" to 44.100 kHz. To play them on my iPod I replaced an existing MP3, renamed it to .m4a and changed the file name in iTunesDB with a hex editor. I don't have access to a Mac right now, if anyone wants to try them in iTunes I'd be interested in the results, especially when renamed to .m4a. Both play in Quicktime on Windows.
