This is a Beta cutting edge software:

*** Limitations, this iPod driver is hot off the press, it currently has
one issue - that is once the database is

updated by Sveta all playlists on the iPod will be shown as ' ', although
reloading Sveta will correcly show all

playlists, it is expected this small bug will be quashed very soon, I do
not think it is unrecoverable (as Sveta can

see the playlists).

Mp4 files are not tagged yet (coming soon when I write a dBpowerAMP
specific decoder) so the artist and title will

have to come from the filename (in the form artist - track)
***

Safety - the first time Sveta is run on your iPod the database will be
backed up so there should be no risk to your

collection on an iPod

Note when uploading files through 'Sveta Explorer' - Sveta Explorer must be
closed before unplugging the iPod, this

is so the database can be updated.

--- mp4 specifics
AAC files should be converted to mp4 and given the extension .mp4 (.m4a are
not currently recognised by dBpowerAMP).

When encoding .mp4 files it will quickly encode to 9% then wait, this is
normal the aac compression is on going

during the remaining period (even though the percentage bar does not move).
Also a temporary .aac file is left

behind in the root of the drive.

BTW only aacenc_mpeg4 would encode and play on the ipod (aacenc with
-profile 2 would not work for me)

Install -

First you need Sveta Portable Audio:

<http://www.dbpoweramp.com/beta/SvetaPortableAudio-r3beta1.exe>Click Here
to Download

2.3MB

then the mp4 codecs for dBpowerAMP (encode and decode):

<http://www.dbpoweramp.com/beta/dBpowerAMP-codec-mp4.exe>Click Here to Download

1.7MB

and finally the Sveta iPod driver:

<http://www.dbpoweramp.com/beta/SPA-SvetaiPod.exe>Click Here to Download

205KB

After install of the last item, connect your iPod to the Computer and add
it to Sveta, then you can use either

'Sveta Explorer' to send existing .mp4 files.
Note I have quickly tried and converting and sending on the fly to the iPod
does not currently work (the file is sent but the database is not updated),
Rip a CD to mp4 on your computer first (Audio CD Input >> Rip Menu >> Rip
to 'Mp4 *CLI)', then Rip Menu >> Compression Settings). Or convert any
format file supported by dBpowerAMP - right click on file(s) >> Convert
To >> mp4 (CLI).

Thanks to everyone at www.hydrogenaudio.org who helped with creating this!
