I can't speak for its quality yet (since I have yet to receive my pre-order), but with all the other FM transmitters out there I have yet to use one that's really good with regard to both signal quality and audio quality. I've tried a generic one I bought at Best Buy for $14 which was terrible. Its pros were that it plugged into the cigarette lighter socket for power. Its major con was terrible signal and constantly having to fiddle with the frequency knob. I've tried an iRock which is by far the best that I've used so far. It only has 4 frequencies but once you choose one, it's rock solid. The cons are that it eats through batteries like no tomorrow. The signal range is pretty flat -- highs become very staticy and lows mushy. I've also had to buy two so far because the audio cable on it has died (about to have to get a 3rd as this one is starting to go on the fritz). However, each one did last about 6 months. Finally, I've tried the TransPod which was one of the worst products I've ever bought. It had terrible build quality, was clunky, felt really cheap, and was just a mess to use. Oh, and its frequency range was on par with the generic transmitter mentioned earlier. The only FM transmitters that are really good are the ones that run in-line with your car's radio antenna and are powered by the car's 12V power-source - and require professional installation if you're not versed in automotive electronics. With the portable ones, the iRock is the best that I've used so far, but it's by far not a panacea.
