I just purchased and installed the Nero AAC encoder and it appears to have installed version 2.0 of the DLLs. Are the 2.4 version available somewhere or do I need to call Nero support? These are: AAC.DLL v2.4.0.0 AACENC32.DLL v2.4.0.1 The downloadable (registered) AAC plugin from the Nero site is NOT the latest and installing it overwrites the newer files you already had in place (!). To proceed to this: 1. Copy the file "aacmp32.dll" from your \AudioPlugins folder into a separate/temporary folder. 2. Delete the \audioplugins folder. 3. Reinstall the latest Nero 5.5.10.28 4. Copy the file "aacmp32.dll" back into \audioplugins. 5. Check the file versions are as stated above. 6. Confirm that you can still make unlimited MP4 recordings. As far as I have been able to tell, the registered AAC plugin doesn't do anything other than overwrite the latest MP4 encoding files and put the AAC Helper DLL in place (aacmp32.dll) which allows unlimited encoding. Hope this helps. Tell me if it fixes the "tweadle" sound problem. I can't say I've noticed it.
