This problem sounds like what happened to me...here's what I did: Can you take it to a mac and "restore" the firmware ( to any version ), then "update" it from your PC to something older than 1.2.6 ( I used = 1.2.1 ), then "update" it to 1.2.6 from your PC? I posted this earlier, but maybe you didn't see it, or maybe it didn't = work.
