Alarm Clock and Ephpod Playlists

No matter what I do, I can't get my 3G iPod to select a playlist instead of "beep" as the wake up sound. My friend just bought his 15 gig and he's a Mac user, syncs with itunes, I'm a windows user and sync with ephpod. His works fine, select a playlist, it shows up as what the iPod will play when the alarm time comes. Is there something about the ephpod playlists that the iPod doesn't like? Or is it a more overall Windows iPod problem? I never did try doing it with a playlist created back in the 2 or 3 days when I actually used MMJB, and would hate to switch back to MMJB just for said feature.
