Do you mean you won't be able to distribute music store songs on 
kazaa?  the ipod seems able to play any mp3 or mp4.

looking forward to the new version.

by the way, will you retain the requirement that mp4 tags include iTunNORM, 
or will you read any well formed tag (for example, as generated by 
foobar)?  will you retain the requirement that songs be renamed to m4a, or 
can we leave them as mp4?
