I think that order of priority is just fine. (though #4 I kinda consider
side-functionality, why implement that so quickly while there are other
things more pertaining to music/playback/functionality that would be
good to have?) I hope you will also make
ephpod accept ".mp4" (and while we'er at it .m4a, .aac?) as valid names
for mp4s..

Speaking of MP4's I hear that the ipod indeed CAN play HE-AAC files,
(the high efficiency format nero can also produce), BUT it will play it
back crippled. Completely according to spec btw, just like mp3pro, the
ipod will only play the 'standard' section of the data, and will discard
high frequency bands I believe. Perhaps you can make ephpod display a
warning when importing HE-AAC's that this is a waste of space?

Is my k-rad 'subdir naming
scheme idea' in the 'Smart Playlist' item or am I gonna have to wait a
little more? (In which case please don't disable the probe ipod for lost
music option :) )

And my comment on spam email harvesters and your maillist archives
stands....

I'll try it when Im back from holiday. At any rate, thanks for your
