Can't Copy Files to iPod

Hi I just bought an iPod (10GB model). I bought it online from ww= w.apple.com. I have tried to set this up on a windows 2000 laptop. I bou= ght a pcmcia firewire card. I have got up to the stage where the iPod dr= ive shows up on windows explorer and the iPod has the busy sign and says= "do not disconnect". I installed ephpod and macopener(tria= l version) on my machine. Now I can read the iPod drive fine. I can see = 3 directories. "contacts", "notes" and another one..However I cant copy anything on to the iPod through windows explorer. It says not enough space to copy file from c:/mp3s/blah.mp3 to f:/ipod=5Ftu= nes/...... The ipod is brand new and it has nothing in it so it's defini= tely not out of disk space. Then I tried adding a song using ephpod. = and I got the same error. Not surewhat the problem is. I reinstalled ep= hpod and macopener a couple of times. but the problem stillpersists.Any ideas ?
