Let's try that again: Apple tagging appears to include two genre methods. 1) "gnre" field, which is a number equal to the id3v1 index + 1. Includes many popular genres, such as rock, jazz, pop, classical, etc. 2) "(c)gen" field, which is any string you want as a genre. Includes anything at all. Are you saying that EphPod works with the second method, and would rather not use the first?
