Cutting Out

Has anyone had any trouble with their ipod cutting out? I have a new 30Gb, and find that when I take it for a run it often just stops playing after about 3 songs. Have been trying to figure out whether this is related to it being shaken around in the run or maybe the heat. I thought maybe it was due to it being sweated on, but this doesn't appear to be the problem. Slightly puzzled as I've seen other people run with theirs! Any experience out there with this?
