issue sync'ing mp4s

I'm ripping CDs with dbPowerAmp and then transferring the mp4s to my iPod
using ehpPod.  ephPod can't seem to read the tags that dbPowerAmp writes to
the mp4s, so I just told it to use the directory structure
(artist/album/track - title) to generate tags.  The problem is that when I
sync my iPod, ephPod doesn't seem to remember the tags and attempts to
transfer every single mp4 onto the iPod again, regardless of whether or not
it's already on there.  Any suggestions?  I'm using 2.73.
