Adding .m4a songs

I have just set up extraction and compression utilizing the Nero codec 
for m4 and  EAC with tagging.
When I try to add the new song ephpod does not show it, and appears NOT 
to be adding it, though the load indication bars flash by very quickly.  
I did test the file on the foobar2000 player and it works, and the tags 
are in place.  I am using ephpod 2.73  Is there anything that I can do 
to get this to work?
