Simon, By default, iTunes should copy your MP3s into its on "iTunes Music" folder. The MP3s will be renamed in that location. You can unclick the preference "Keep my iTunes folder organized" and it won't create subfolders by artist. You can turn on the preference to "move" imported MP3s to the iTunes folder (which will remove files from their previous location.) If you don't have that on, iTunes should leave your original MP3 files untouched. Anyone have a correction or alternate view?
