Barry,

Ever since Apple came out with the iPod formatter to
convert a Mac only iPod to windows there's no need to
pay for anything anymore.

When the 1st iPod's came out and they were in only Mac
format you had to (on a PC) use a program called
MacOpener, You had to buy this program, but now you
dont need to anymore,

The only reason you would need to use MacOpener is if
you were too scared to use the formater to convert your
"Mac only iPod" to a windows version.
