I'm not sure what you mean by "both tags and syncing". EphPod has one set of "tag-reading" routines that it uses for everything it does. When passed a file (via add song, add directory, drag and drop, sync, etc), EphPod tries to read information on the file. I have updated the routine that reads tag information from mp4 files so that it can be more accurate.
