Greetings,

If you are subscribed to the devel list then you may have seen the spam
winging past concerning hudson builds failing and normalising. Apologies
that would be due to me ;)

I have set up an auto build system using hudson, which at the moment
builds both gtkpod and libgpod on fedora-13 and ubuntu-lynx virtual
servers. These integration builds respond to any new commit on either
project. At the moment, the test for success is whether they compile. In
the future, more aggressive tests could be introduced.

One of the suggestions I had was to upload the resulting binary builds.
This I have started to do by uploading an rpm of the fedora-13 build to
sf.net. I will spend the rest of the week crafting the script to
auto-generate a similar deb from the ubuntu build. These is also the
original src tarball uploaded too.

So, if you wish to test / break these builds then feel free to download
and play.

The format for the builds is gtkpod-2.0.0_${DATE}_${GIT-COMMIT-ID},
which should ensure that any builds that break can be traced back to the
repository.

I have also downloaded a slackware iso ready to create a third virtual
server. Unfortunately, that will be the limit of my box's capability so
if anyone would like to offer a box that can be ssh'd into as a build
slave then let me know. Alternatively, I can make available the hudson
configuration if people feel like creating their own build servers.

Cheers and regards
