On Ubuntu 10.10 I get the following when trying to upgrade with
gtkpod_2.0.0.bb471c2-1_i386.deb:

There seems to be a programming error in aptdaemon, the software that allows
you to install/remove software and to perform other package management
related tasks. Please report this error at
http://launchpad.net/aptdaemon/+filebug and retry.

I realise that this isn't a GTKPod bug, but it would impact being able to
test it...
