Would love to - but there is not more. dmesg does only show these, and it seems they are unrelated to this problem at all. I emptied the syslog after mounting the iPod and will see now. By the way - I am now using gtkpod to add around 4000 tracks - autosave after 200 - with a different cable. I'll let you know.
