We're using libgpod 0.8.0 a very small number of users have had crashes with the stack traces below. I've given multiple examples of the call stack that leads to it, but the crash seems to be when accessing data from a file that libgpod has mapped into memory. The exception is always a bus error and the platform is always Mac OS X. The problem seems to be 100% reproducible for the affected users. Unfortunately, we're receiving crash reports anonymously, so we are unable to contact the users for more information. I've spent some time looking through the libgpod source. I was not able to track down anything that seemed to be causing this problem. If anyone has any ideas on what could cause this error, I'd be more than happy to continue looking into it. strncpy db_parse_context_get_m_header_internal parse_mhii parse_mhl parse_mhsd parse_mhfd ipod_parse_artwork_db itdb_parse strncpy db_parse_context_get_m_header_internal parse_mhod_string parse_mhod_3 parse_photo_mhni parse_photo_mhod parse_mhii parse_mhl parse_mhsd parse_mhfd ipod_parse_artwork_db itdb_parse strncpy db_parse_context_get_m_header_internal parse_mhfd ipod_parse_artwork_db itdb_parse Cheers, Whitney Young FadingRed [email protected] www.fadingred.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Achieve unprecedented app performance and reliability What every C/C++ and Fortran developer should know.
