Greetings,

It would appear that gtkpod is falling foul of GPL licence requirements.

In particular:
a) The use of libmp4v2 library (MPL licence) for the m4a and mp4
filetype plugins
b) The use of gstreamer in the sjcd and media player plugins

I am not certain how to sort either of these issues at the moment but I
have been receiving advice at [1]. Certainly, a step forward may well be
to re-licence the plugins and I think the core libgtkpod library to be LGPL.

Jorg,

At the very least it will need your ascent to be able to relicence the
libgtkpod and plugins code since most of it is your code from gtkpod
pre-1.0.

Anyway, if anyone would like to lend a hand with this issue then help
would be much appreciated.

Cheers
