Nodes in Easton

Last night, I met with a group of people connected with the Easton 
Community Centre.  It turns out they've had a working node attached to a 
2Mbps Internet connection since June!  They've got 4 households connected 
to the node at the community centre.  I have access to a couple of houses 
in the area, so I'll be building up a couple of PCs to make nodes from.  
I'm going to use the OpenAP distro from locustworld.net, as I'm somewhat 
tied by time.  This can be replaced by our own distro when we're ready.

Hopefully this will translate into a reasonable network in the area in a 
short space of time.  Also, we may be able to get line-of-sight to the St. 
Michael's Hill node, so reasonable coverage of central Bristol may be 
obtainable by the end of the year.  We shall have to see.  As an aside, we 
may get a mention on Points West tonight (BBC1, 6:30).  Here's hoping.
