Yes, the problem will be geographical inconsistencies, such as 
hills/trees/tall buldings.

Well, we have a possible node on St. Michael's Hill which will have great 
coverage over most of central/south east Bristol.  That'd be great for PTP 
links.  That should get enough coverage to get people starting nodes with 
the premise of free/cheap broadband.  To get this going, we're going to 
need a network that covers enough people to get an ADSL line.  Once we're 
that far, we should be able to bust onto the scene pretty easily 
(relatively)!
