Summary: failure on empty confVars

Initial Comment:
LDAP RFC does not allow empty values for attributes.
Thus *every* confVar needs a non-empty value.

The UI gives no clue about that and fails ugly with a "objectclass violation" on submit.

We can't lift the LDAP restriction but should fail more gracefully on this error.
