Thats a big task you have taken there but I think its about time!

I attempted a few times to fix things also but didnt do that cause it 
would break other things.

Flashback ...
3 years ago we did not know the features ISPMan will have, the problems 
that we will face, the business changes that will happen, the limitation 
of LDAP, mod_perl etc, etc.

ISPMan was built to solve problems and it did that well. We added code 
and logic as we needed it and the project got bigger and more complex.

3 years later:
We know the requirements and the limitation well. The design is pretty 
much in our heads. More applications have come forward which we can use. 
Some applications have improved which we can use now. New techniques 
have arosen.

I think it is time that we write project documentation, draw diagrams, 
evaluate utilities and then start the code from scratch.

If we have to do it all over again, we may perhaps use different logic 
and different programs.

We would perhaps go for the backend and front-end library way.

We may use perl for the backend library and php for the front-end  so 
the web front-end can be written in php using smarty templating system 
and some accelerators making it fast, fast, fast....

We may use soap for the interface between the front-end and the back-end.

We may perhaps use soap for message passing from the master to the 
agents instead of the agent loading ISPMan.* modules and look every few 
seconds for any processes it should process.

And many more things that we can redesign and redo.

So how about it....
