I think you got me wrong there.

I've no intention to direct ISPMan into a Debian/RPM/whatever distribution
style.
As far as I'm concerned ISPMan will always be primarily available as a tarball
for installation on arbitrary perl systems.

Though, many users are eager to have simple installable DEB/RPM files, which
contain all necessary (perl-)dependencies to have a smooth, integrated install.
With the new, redesigned install procedures those packages can be quite easily
created (speaking at least for Debian).
So I see no problem in providing such contributional packages.
