Reseller-accounts are created with 'uid=USERNAME', but user- accounts are created with 'uid=EMAILADDRESS'. SASL-Auth with 'ldap_filter: uid=%u' doesn´t work. ErrorMsg from /var/log/auth.log: Oct 11 12:31:39 localhost saslauthd[2108]: Entry not found (uid=kaese ). Oct 11 12:31:39 localhost saslauthd[2108]: Authentication failed for kaese/xtek.de: User not found (-6) Oct 11 12:31:39 localhost saslauthd[2108]: do_auth : auth failure: [user=kaese] [service=smtp] [realm=xtek.de] [mech=ldap] [reason=Unknown] I solved the problem by editing new entries by hand and changing uid-value to USERNAME.
