one additional thing:
# ispman.dnsset -d foo -t SOA xxxx yyyyyyy
will cause a SOA record for the domain foo, which does have empty values
for refresh|retry|expirex|minimum .... I gues that cant be an intention.
I would vote for checking the plausibility of the arguments.
In the first step: "Are there six non-empty values"? Further (optional)
RFC-conformness-checking would be a different project, though ...
