Hello! After doing a fresh 1.3rc1 install, I ran accross two oddities: 1.) ./bin/ispman.listVars looks for the module Lexicon.pm, which is not mentioned in the docs are requirement ( In Debian we install liblocale-maketext-lexicon-perl ). 2.) The inital fill of an OpenLDAP should be mentioned in the docs at least in short, like: Assuming your 'ldapRootPass' is 'myPass' and the 'ldapRootDN' is 'cn=admin,o=ispman' you may proceed as follows: a.) Create a Text file with your favorite editor: ---8<----- dn: o=ispman objectclass: dcObject objectclass: organization o: ispman dc: ispman dn: cn=admin,o=ispman objectclass: organizationalRole cn: admin ---8<----- b:) Add the following two lines to the slapd.conf ---8<----- rootdn "cn=admin,o=ispman" rootpw myPass ---8<----- And restart slapd. c.) And ldapadd -v -x -D "cn=admin,o=ispman" -W -f yourTextFile Without doinf such you wont be able to fill the LDAP tree via 'cat conf/ldif/ispman.ldif | ./bin/ispman.substConf | ./bin/ispman.ldifload -f -'. rgds, Andreas -- Andreas John net-lab GmbH Luisenstrasse 30b 63067 Offenbach Tel: +49 69 85700331 http://www.net-lab.net ------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
