The failures occurred on my ThinkPad.  In a few minutes, the next build 
will start on nagoya (http://nagoya.apache.org/~rubys/gump/), but it 
will take several hours before it gets to krysalis-ruper.  Then in 
another six hours, the "official" build starts which will hopefully 
trigger the nag message.

Failures at this point are not unexpected.  How people react to such 
failures is the important thing.
