Apache Jakarta Turbine Stratum 1.0 released

The Turbine team of the Jakarta Project of the ASF is happy to announce
the release of Turbine Stratum 1.0.

In a daring act of software paleontology we finally did a release of the
long standing Turbine 2.3.x component layer called "Stratum". This
release is intended as a closure to replace all the alpha and beta
versions floating around.

If you are working with Turbine 2.3.x and use currently a beta version
of Stratum, you are urged to upgrade to this release version.

Future versions of Turbine will use the Excalibur/Avalon component
infrastructure. Currently there is no further development beyond the 1.0
version planned.

Stratum is available from the Apache Mirror System through the Turbine
