As Dominique mentioned,  you can use a nested redirector element with a nested outputfilterchain 

something like 

<exec>
   <redirector output=“myfile.log">
      <outputfilterchain>
          <sortfilter/>
      </outputfilterchain>
   </redirector>
</exec>
