Bug report comments requested

Hello,

could someone please comment on Phoenix bug #15846 and Cornerstone bug 
#15844. Maybe something along the lines of:

- I'll fix it and make a release.
- It's unclear, who maintains that code. Please fix yourself, I'll apply 
the patch.
- It's not a bug, but a feature, because ...
- Can't be fixed, please work-around by ...

My boss is pestering me why I don't upgrade Avalon/Phoenix/Cornerstone 
and I have to give him some kind of answer.
