I'm not involved into it, but I'm for a move of AvalonDB in one of the 
following:

  - avalon sandbox
  - sourceforge
  - merge with other efforts
  - jakarta-commons-sandbox

Given time constraints, I would personally advocate the third. The 
Sandbox gets a -0 from me since it's not about containers. What about 
Jakarta Commons Sandbox?
