Hello Stephen,

I know that I speak not only on behalf of a large part of the user and 
development communities surrounding the avalon project, but also on 
behalf of a large part of the surrounding wider ASF community when I say 
I fully support the direction in which Aaron and the Avalon PMC are 
currently taking this project.

Going a step further than that, I am certainly not the only one who 
thinks Aaron has been handling a very difficult situation commendably well.

I'm confident that these two statements, together with the information 
provided at the URL that Aaron just provided, should alleviate the 
concerns expressed in your message below.
