Stephen points out a third.  James provides a test bed for Avalon that can
be checked with GUMP.  So does Cocoon.  Applications provide real-world
sanity on the platform.

You may not want them in your core repository, but you might want to
encourage an AvalonApps community, either on krysalis, werken, or somewhere.
