I can't get a clear picture of your xml files, and how much of the default you 
are using. Looking at mx4j/target/classes/BLOCK-INF/block.xml, your target 
path should be ended with (if you use defaults only "registry" and not 
"jmx-mx4j-manager". It is likely this is a change that has not been 
documented properly. Have you seen this somewhere?

Exactly where are you setting it and how?
