Thread component going down

Hi,
we have a component that should be instantiated every time it gets called
(lifestyle = thread). The problem is, it is called asynchroneously, so it
returns to the calling component. Before the async callback can occur, the
component is decomissioned and the component is dead.

Is there a way to tell Merlin when the component is ready to be
decomissioned?
