That would work for the current tests we have for javaflow. So I appreciate if
you could make those changes, as GUMP error messages
are killing me now :-)

But I still hope the BCEL project will address this problem more
fundamentally in a near future. In BCEL, I'm allowed to change
any of index, name, and type. It will still break if someone tries
to rename the local variable, then move its start/end range.
