Thanks for your response. I think I am using 1.7.X version. If I remember correctly I tried with 1.8.0 also. I will try again with 1.8.0 and will let you know the results.

as far as I remember I have already fixed that in Cactus 1.8.0.
Which version of Cactus are you using?
