Jean Helou commented on JDKIM-50:
---------------------------------

Hello,=20

yes this is something I had identified. However : note that RFC 8463 is a =
proposed standard and may still change. As far as I could tell it is not wi=
dely deployed either. So having it in jdkim would be nice but it is not man=
datory.=20

With that said I had a first spike to add it the existing JDKIM library and=
while it is possible this highlighted how bad the current design of the li=
brary is at the moment. I have embarked in a slow and quite mad endeavour o=
f completely rewriting the library.
I'm about 70% done but I have not been able to work on it much since march =
( where I joined the local town council which is eating up quite a bit of m=
y free time) the jdkim work is nearing the top of my leisure time pile so I=
hope to be able to resume work but I don't want to make promises

I considered publishing a draft of my work but I'm to ashamed too do so ( i=
t doesn't even compile at the moment :D )=20

> RFC 8463 mandates that verifiers must support verification of Ed25519 DKI=
M signatures. Additionally, it would be nice if James would also support cr=
eating Ed25519 DKIM signatures.
> =C2=A0
> If I understand the source code correctly, James currently only supports =
RSA for both.
