Hi Felix,

I did just succeed to self send a mail with Thunderbird.

Some tips:
 - manual config, I used the SSL ports directly on the container (docker
inspect)
 - The username shall be the full email address
 - Be sure to select the right outgoing servers

I would like to thank you for pointing out that this "demo" is not that
easy to set up, and that we would benefit from a little tutorial with
some TB screen capture to ease the demo as much as possible.

Regards,

Benoit

After adding, the IMAP connection to check for new e-mails works as well (although ofc, there are none). However, I cannot send e-mails by SMTP to one of the user users or the same user. The error I see in Mozilla is "Authentication required". I do not see entries in /log/james.log which I can refer to the SMTP topic.
