DBCP 2 compiles and runs under Java 7 only (JDBC 4.1)
DBCP 1.4 compiles and runs under Java 6 only (JDBC 4)

We are using DBCP 1.4

Im getting an error in parentLogger method override on a data source in my IDE (but not from build). Need to test with DBCP2 and upgrade
