ORO & J2ME ?

I checked the archives & Google and couldn't find an explicit
reference indicating ORO was J2ME compatible. I do know
someone tried to run a JDBC driver I wrote that uses ORO 2.0.4
on JDK 1.1.8, and it crashed inside ORO when it tried to reference
Hashmaps.

So the $64K question: is the latest version J2ME compatible ?
If not, how difficult would it be to make a J2ME
compatible version ?
